June safety campaigns are run by EHS departments in construction, manufacturing, utilities, logistics and municipal fleets. The audience is professionally sceptical about safety theatre, and they’ll evaluate anything you hand them on whether it would actually hold up.

Know what is PPE and what is a giveaway

This matters more than anything else on this page. Real personal protective equipment is certified — ANSI ratings for hi-vis apparel and eye protection, specific standards for hard hats. Promotional versions of those things generally are not. A hi-vis vest that isn’t ANSI-rated must not be presented as one, and a hard-hat-shaped stress ball is a desk toy.

If you need rated equipment, say so when you ask us to quote and we’ll source certified product with documentation. If you need campaign items, that’s a different order and a different price. Mixing them up is how a safety campaign creates a hazard.

Reflective and light

Reflective bands, slap wraps and LED flashlights rank high and earn it — they get used walking to a car in a dark lot, which is where a lot of incidents actually happen. These work as genuine giveaways because their value doesn’t depend on a certification.

Put the message on it, not just the logo

Safety items are one of the few categories where a specific message beats branding: days since last incident, a reporting number, a single behavioural prompt. Hard hat stickers are cheap, get applied immediately and stay in view all day — a better vehicle for one line of text than almost anything else.
