Ski resorts, schools, sports teams and companies planning winter events or staff gifts are the buyers. A resort sells them in the shop and gives them to season pass holders. A school or team sells them in school colors for the stands. A company adds one to a holiday gift or hands them out at an outdoor winter event.

Screen print or sublimation

Two methods are listed. Screen print puts a bold logo or a team name in solid ink colors. Sublimation dyes the design into the fabric, which suits a pattern, a gradient or a full design across the scarf. Size, color and decoration details are confirmed with your quote and shown on the free virtual proof before production, so you see exactly what the scarf will look like.

A steep drop after the first tier

The 100-piece minimum is $9.92 a scarf, $992.00 in total, and setup is waived at every quantity. The price then falls hard:

• 250 scarves: $6.67 each, $1,667.50
• 500 scarves: $5.57 each, $2,785.00
• 1,000 scarves: $5.00 each, $5,000.00
• 2,000 scarves: $4.83 each
• 5,000 scarves: $4.63 each

The jump from 100 to 250 is the one to notice. You get two and a half times the scarves for a bit over half again the money. If you have any use for extra scarves, such as a second event or retail stock, 250 is the better buy.

Twenty business days in production

Scarves take about 20 business days after proof approval, then transit. For a holiday gift or the first ski weekend, place the order in September or October.
