Carabiner Clip

A carabiner clip keychain that hangs on the outside of a bag strap or a belt loop instead of disappearing into a pocket. That outside placement is the reason to choose it over a flat keytag at a similar price: the mark stays visible while the clip does its job holding keys.

A true volume giveaway

At around a dollar or so a piece, this is built for big counts. Trade show booths, gyms, outdoor retailers, college orientation and campus events order it by the thousand. It also slips easily into a mailer or a welcome kit without adding bulk.

Fitting a logo on a carabiner

Pad print and laser engraving are the methods listed. The flat face of a carabiner is narrow, so a one-line wordmark or a compact icon is the right scale; detailed logos and taglines lose legibility. Laser engraving gives a permanent mark, and pad print allows a color that pops against the clip. Your free proof locks in the size and method.

Where setup stops

• 250 clips: $1.37 each, $342.50 plus $49 setup, $391.50 total (about $1.57 each)
• 500 clips: $1.30 each, $650.00, setup waived
• 1,000 clips: $1.22 each, $1,220.00
• 2,500 clips: $1.15 each, $2,875.00
• 5,000 clips: $1.06 each, $5,300.00

At the 250-clip minimum the order stays below $500 and carries the setup. Going to 500 actually brings the per-clip cost down by about a quarter, setup included, because the threshold is crossed. Pairing a 250 order with other items on the same order is the other way to clear $500.

Ten business days

The clips take about 10 business days to produce once you approve the proof. Count shipping on top, and lock the order three weeks before a show or move-in day.

What does it clip onto?

A bag strap, a backpack loop or a belt loop, with keys hanging from it.
