The Libretto notebook stands out for its low minimum. Most decorated notebooks start at 150 or 250 pieces; this one starts at 50. That makes it workable for a workshop, a board meeting, a training cohort or a small staff gift, which is where notebooks actually get filled instead of stockpiled in a closet.

Workshops, boards and training cohorts

Facilitators order a box for each session they run. Boards and leadership retreats use it for the meeting folder. Schools and training providers hand one to each cohort. Order the number of people in the room, not a big round number.

Cover options: print or deboss

Screen print and deboss are available. A debossed logo is pressed into the cover and looks understated and permanent. Screen print gives a crisp flat color when the brand palette has to show. One color in one position is built into the tier price. We confirm the cover material, page count and format on your written quote, and you approve a free proof before production.

Setup matters more than the tiers

Unit pricing is $5.80 at 50, $5.53 at 100, $5.27 at 500 and $5.00 at 1,000, a 14% spread. At 50 notebooks the run is $290.00, so the $45 setup is added for a $335.00 total, about $6.70 each. At 100 the run is $553.00 and setup is waived. That setup adds 90 cents to every notebook in a 50-piece order, more than the entire ladder spread. Going to 1,000 to chase the floor would leave you with 950 spare notebooks, so the 50 to 100 decision is the only one worth thinking about.

Production schedule

Production runs about 5 business days after proof approval, then shipping. A quarterly workshop series can be supplied comfortably with two to three weeks of notice.

Does a notebook we reprint each year get cheaper?

Yes. After the first run, a repeat of the same design carries no setup, because the artwork is kept for two years.

Can a 50-piece order avoid setup?

If the whole order reaches $500. Adding pens or another item for the same group usually does it.
