Aka Mechanical Pencil
The Aka mechanical pencil sits in the middle of our pencil range. It is better presented than an entry-level promotional pencil without reaching the cost of the premium models. When there is no strong reason to go cheaper or more expensive, this is the one to default to.
Small offices, clinics and local exhibitors
Small offices, medical and dental clinics and local trade show exhibitors are the usual buyers. A mechanical pencil also has a clear audience of its own: students, engineers, architects, contractors and anyone who fills in forms or sketches in pencil. For those groups it gets used longer than a ballpoint.
Fitting a logo on a pencil barrel
Choose pad print or laser engraving. Pad print adds one ink color, which is what the tier price includes in one position. Laser engraving gives a tone-on-tone mark with no ink to match. A pencil barrel is narrow, so a short name or logo plus a web address is about the limit. Send vector art when possible, and your free proof shows the exact size.
The 100 to 250 jump

The unit price only moves from $2.22 to $2.01 across the whole range. What does change your cost is the setup: a 100-piece order carries it, a 250-piece order clears $500 and does not. Buying 150 more pencils raises the total by a modest amount while each one drops by more than half a dollar. If 100 is all you need, adding another item to the order can reach the waiver instead.
About a week to deliver
Production runs about 5 business days after you approve the proof, then the pencils ship. For back-to-school or an exam season, order three weeks ahead.
