Baby promotional items.
Maternity units, pediatric practices and family brands. Soft goods, safety standards and a parent who keeps everything.
Baby items are bought by maternity units, pediatric practices, insurers, childcare providers and family retailers. It is an unusually high-retention category — new parents keep almost everything from the first months — which makes a modest item unusually long-lived.
Safety standards are the first question
Infant products carry real regulatory weight in the US, including CPSIA requirements and specific rules for sleep and feeding items. Fabrics need to be checked for flammability standards; anything going near a mouth needs the material confirmed. We will get the supplier’s certification rather than assume it — and if it cannot be produced, that is a reason to pick something else.
Soft goods do the work
Bibs, blankets, onesies and swaddles are the items that get used daily and photographed constantly. A hospital blanket in particular ends up in the going-home photo, which is a picture that gets kept for decades and shared widely.
Keep the branding gentle
A large logo across a onesie makes it an advertisement, and it will not be worn. A small mark on a cuff or a corner keeps the item in use and your name in the photograph anyway. Softer inks matter here too — a stiff print against newborn skin is a genuine complaint, not a preference.
