What to know about Pad Printing
A soft silicone pad lifts ink out of an etched plate and sets it down on a shape no flat press could reach. That is the method's entire reason to exist: pens, lip balm, USB drives, bottle caps, the curved barrel of a flashlight. Where the surface bends, this is usually the only honest option.
Imprint areas are small — often an inch or two across — and that, not the quality of the printing, is the real constraint. A logo with a tagline beneath it will not survive the reduction. Send us the mark on its own, or tell us which part matters most and we will build a one-line lockup that stays legible at size.
Pricing works like screen printing: a plate per color, charged once, then a low rate per piece. Two colors cost more to set up than one and the difference shrinks as quantity rises. Most items in this range are ordered in the hundreds, which is exactly where the math works.
Send vector art. Production runs 7–10 business days after you approve the proof, and plates stay on file for two years.
