Ceramic mugs remain the cheapest way to put a logo on a desk and keep it there. The decoration method sets both the look and the durability. Pad printing applies ceramic ink that is then kiln-fired, producing a mark that survives dishwashers indefinitely — it handles one to four spot colors well and is the workhorse method. Full-wrap sublimation covers the entire mug surface in photographic color but requires a specially coated blank and is less dishwasher-durable over years. Enamel mugs read outdoorsy and camp-adjacent, and the rolled steel rim is part of the aesthetic rather than a defect. Color-changing mugs reveal artwork when hot liquid is added, which is a genuine attention-getter but adds cost and limits palette. Ceramic ships heavy and breaks. Budget for freight and order spares. Minimum order quantities are set per item, typically 100 to 250 pieces.
