Badges & Lanyards

Lanyards and badges are event infrastructure rather than merchandise, and they are usually the last thing ordered and the first thing needed. Build in more lead time than feels necessary. Woven polyester is the standard lanyard: the artwork is dyed into the webbing, so it cannot rub off and repeats along the full length. Attachment hardware is the spec worth checking — a swivel clip suits badge holders, a bulldog clip grips thicker cards, and a breakaway safety clasp is required by most schools and many industrial sites. For name badges, decide early between reusable badges with interchangeable inserts and individually printed permanent badges. Reusable is cheaper across staff turnover. Permanent looks better. Minimum order quantities are set per item, typically 100 to 250 pieces. We keep artwork on file two years, which matters here because most clients reorder lanyards every event cycle.
