What to know before you order jackets & outerwear
Outerwear is the highest-perceived-value category in promotional apparel and the one where getting the spec wrong is most expensive. The first question is always insulation versus shell. A softshell or windbreaker handles wind and light rain and layers over anything, which makes it the safer choice for a mixed group. Insulated pieces — fleece jackets and puffer vests — are warmer but sizing errors are less forgiving. Almost all outerwear is embroidered rather than printed. Waterproof and coated fabrics need care: needle penetration can compromise a membrane, so laser-cut appliqué or heat-applied transfers are sometimes the better call on rain shells. We will flag it if your chosen garment falls into that category. Lead times run longer than on tees and fleece because outerwear is more often cut in fewer colorways. Minimum order quantities are set per item, typically 100 to 250 pieces, with artwork retained for two years.
